About Winterized

Hannah & James AKA Winterized

We’re a couple of dreamers really. We had a bonkers idea to build a treehouse and live in that – which morphed into a narrowboat and then somehow, 4 months down the line we’d started the ball rolling on moving into a motorhome and heading the the Alps. That’s the story! We quit our jobs, only keeping the activities that we could do remotely and had to investigate a new way to live. Now the Digital Editor of Fall-Line Skiing and The Outdoor Adventure Guide Magazines, Hannah has the best job ever and James is working between trips… although… not for long! So that was about Winterized Season 1. Touring around the Alps in a motorhome. Season 2 looks a little different so if you want to follow our ridiculous escapades, you can jump on our social media and/ or sign up to received the blog posts and YouTube videos.

For fun, as well as writing and making videos for Winterized, we also review products and services we think are relevant to you. We have some commercial partners who’ve made our trip possible and we’re eternally grateful to them for believing in us and for the many special offers they make that we pass onto the Winterized Tribe when they come up. Sometimes, when you buy something using the retail links in our posts, we earn an affiliate commission that helps pay for our work – maintaining this site and travelling around to populate the database we’re building here at Winterized. You pay nothing more for anything you buy and hopefully get something out of us doing a lot of the research and leg work involved! We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. We also work with other specialist retail partners – from Decathlon to Ellis Brigham but rest assured – if we’re promoting something, we’re endorsing it. If we’re avoiding the subject of something you would expect us to be promoting, that’s probably because it’s a bit shit. If you’re not sure, drop us an email 🙂
